God loves us no matter how we are, and he gave his son to die for us, that we would be born again as children of God, never again the same as we were before accepting his sacrifice for our redemption. God loves us not for who we are but for who we shall become after the blood of his son is applied to our lives.

Expect much; be understanding and forgiving when the mark is missed, but at least you've come within your goal; rather than expecting nothing and being satisfied when nothing is received.

God has supplied our needs and has given us the needs of others so that we be their supply. (2 Cor. 9:8-14) Do not consume for yourself that which was meant for others. Such greed, pride and arrogance was the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah (Eze. 16:49)

Pain

God wants to make use of your pain.

It is a block in the construction of your temple.

It is a color in the design of your makeup.

It is a fiber in the clothing of your being.

Your pain is not to be locked up in the prison of your psyche,

Neither swept under a rug,

Nor hidden behind a closet door.

Your pain has a seat at your table

And a chapter in your book;

Because your pain came with purpose.

It was an enemy to be conquered.

It was a night to be endured.

It was a decent into hell to take possession of a key.

And in the midst of your pain, your soul cried out unto God.

From pain patience sprung forth,

And through it understanding developed.

By your testimony, the wounded are healed

The saints perfected,

And the captives set free.

So tell the overcoming story your pain to expand God’s kingdom

And to glorify his name.

In Him

In Him, I am infinite, because He is infinite.
In Him, I am perfect, because He is perfect.
In Him, I am love, because He is love.
And so, I remain in Him.

Opposition

Light, darkness; life, death; good, evil; give, take:
What one is not, the other one does make.
Inseparable opposites pulled into an everlasting bond.
Reciprocally related, if one moves the other one does respond.
Parallel forces complement to make a whole.
Irreconcilable choices locked in struggle.
Each faces the other as day faces night,
Antithetically in eternal fight,
In agreement to be confrontational
By acknowledging their adversarial
Is their reverse,
Whom they accurse
And vehemently resist with hostility,
Damning the existence of contrariety.
As one proceeds, the other constrains.
Inherent tension always remains.

Cry Freedom

She was a slave: owned by another,
Absolutely subject to the will of a brother
Human being
Who was void of a conscious to sting.
Forced to toil in the heat of the day without pay,
Then stripped naked and raped by her master, she lay
Destitute and impoverished,
With all that could be taken from her ravished.
So she gathered all that was hers alone:
Her dignity, faith and self-respect, and carried it to a place called home:
A place in her heart where she could lay down her woe,
A place in her mind where she could calmly rest and know
That there is a God who looked on her condition.
There is a God who heard her petition.
And a day would come when she and hers would be free.
And even if her eyes did not see
That day, she would carry the hope of it down to her grave,
For earnest hope is the unassailable treasure of a slave.

Each tear that she shed was a cry for freedom that fell to the earth
And gave birth to a struggle.
She was mother and carried her trouble in her womb.
Her labor would not be in vain, but would soon
Through pain and suffering deliver the manifestation of her heart.
She was ancestor,
A mother of mothers.
She need not tell the story of all she endured,
But can now rest in peace fully assured
That her prayers have been fulfilled,
And by her, dear children have been instilled
A great faith, strength, courage and fortitude,
And from her has come forth a multitude,
Crying, "Freedom!"

Invitation

Powerful and boastfully bulky and big,
Extensive and liberally large and long,
Naturally tempting, tremendously thick,
Impressive and substantially swollen and strong,
Solidified and strengthened with steel until hard,

Open the gate and enter my yard.

The First Day

Meditations on Gen 1:1-5

God created time
To mark the beginning of his acts of the creation of heaven and earth.
Then God said, “Let there be light.”
And there was light.
Then God set boundaries for the light.
And where light was, He called light.
And where light was not, He called darkness.
Then God had darkness pass before him,
And God gave darkness its attributes,
And as God spoke, so darkness was.
The time of the procession of darkness before God, He called Evening.
Then God had light pass before him,
And God gave light its attributes,
And as God spoke, so light was.
The time of the procession of light before God, He called Morning.
God established that evening would come and be followed by morning in a perpetual motion.
The time for the passing of one evening and one morning, God called Day.
God looked upon evening and morning in its cycle of obedience,
And God said, “This is good.”

NOW Faith

If your faith is that God is going to do it, then you will never see it because your faith has you waiting and that is what will manifest - you waiting. Rather believe it is DONE. Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Hebrews 11:1 says, " Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Use your NOW faith.
Recently, I watched a cooking show that was trying to teach some wives of very wealthy men how to cook. One lady couldn't cut a tomato. She didn't know how to cook or clean; she had servants. He didn't marry her so she could cook or clean. He didn't marry her so she could earn a living. She spent his money and he enjoyed her spending it; he enjoyed being able to provide it for her. She was his companion. She was his lover. She was utterly dependent on him as her provider and protector. Christ lived a life of utter dependence on God. He did what he saw God doing. He spoke what he heard God saying. The independent spirit has no need of God. The independent woman has no need of a man. In this "it's all about me" world, the spirit of willful and joyful dependency has been lost, and with it the demonstration of God's strength and the demonstration of man's strength. 2 Chronicles 16:9 states, "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." That perfect heart is a dependent heart, a submitted heart, a yielded heart. If he cannot find such a heart, how can we see Him?

God Hovers

God hovers over the hills and valleys of Israel
As a man lying with his wife.
He waters her ground,
As drops of sweat pouring from His body.
I dance in the rain!
I dance in the rain because God loves me.

Bid her Come

So many responsibilities upon your shoulder!

The nation awaits your decision on this and on that.

Your advisors all surround you with documents in hand,

Each clamoring for the signature of your approval.

Have you noticed an aroma in the air,

The smell of sweet perfume?

Glance up for a moment for your queen has entered into the room.

Stretch forth your scepter and bid her come.

Embrace your emptiness as room to receive more.
Hunger can never be satisfied, only silenced.

Enter a slave, exit a wife.
One night of favor can change your whole life.

An Earnest Prayer

He prayed. He prayed more earnestly

In the Garden of Gethsemane;

For it was his destiny

To die on a cross on Calvary.

Prayer and supplication made through agony and pain,

That the bitter cup be passed, but let the will of God remain.

“Watch and pray,” he commanded, “That temptation not cause you to fall,”

But he knew that we would slumber; so he prayed our faith would endure all.

That night he won the battle, although his life was slain.

The spoils of war, he left behind; all, for us to gain.

Journey Together

We are on a journey to the same destination.
We travel together, you and me.
But I am the passenger and you are the plane.
The route, you choose.
But wherever you go, you carry me with you.
